Today I hit the jackpot picking strawberries. Got two buckets of the best strawberries in town. We went to Vollmer Farms: http://www.vollmerfarm.com/.
I’ve had their berries a bunch of times from the farmers market, so I already knew the deliciousness I was getting myself into. When we arrived, we picked up our buckets at the farm stand made our way out to the field assigned for picking that day.
When I got them home, I gorged myself with their goodness. Luckily I stopped before they were all gone and was able to put some in the freezer for smoothies/recipes etc.
Vollmer said that there is 3 weeks left for picking, so I just may make my way back there before the season is over.
